the waitlist
omit, in auckland, runs absum and keeps the waitlist. joining stores your email address, the consent wording you agreed to, the time you agreed to it, and the referral code in the link you came from, if it had one. nothing else.
joining sends you no email. we only email you about absum, and only if you ticked the box. every email has a link to unsubscribe.
the list is stored in a cloudflare database and is not shared with anyone else. emailhello@omit.nz to see or correct what we hold about you, or to have your signup deleted.
starting a shop
starting a shop stores your email address, your shop's name, and, if you ticked the box, the wording you agreed to and when. we send you a sign-in email through resend, which delivers it for us. the link in it works once, for 15 minutes.
signing in sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in for 30 days or until you sign out. it is only for signing in; it does not track you.
when you set up card payments, you enter your details on stripe's own pages, and stripe holds them. we keep the id of your stripe account and whether card payments are on. omit never sees or holds your stripe keys or your bank details.
analytics
we count visits with umami, which we run ourselves at analytics.omit.nz. it sets no cookies and respects do not track. it sees which page you opened, the referral code if your link had one, the site that sent you, and which parts of this page you scrolled to and used. it never sees your email address. your ip address is used to work out your country and is not stored.
